A Bit About Me

I'm Michelle, a qualified Nutrition and Health Coach. With a Science degree, an HND in Advanced Practice in Work with Children and Families, and a Level 4 BTEC in Health Coaching, I bring over 10 years of experience working with children, young people, and their families.

As a mother of a young autistic person and a volunteer with a youth group for neurodiverse children and young people for five years, I have gained extensive experience and knowledge in this area.

​

Mindset has been a crucial focus for me. Having struggled with my mental health for nearly 30 years, I utilised various tools like mindfulness, meditation, EFT, and journaling to transform my mindset and my life. I am now a certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher and certified in EFT, Journal Therapy, Eating Psychology, Positive Psychology, NLP, and Root Cause Therapy. Additionally, I have designed a range of notebooks and journals available on Amazon to promote positive mental health.

My business, Michelle McGowan Wellness, was born out of my own experiences with mental health challenges, including a destructive relationship with food and battles with binge eating and bulimia. Transforming my relationship with food and myself was key to my journey.

​

I am here to support you in changing your relationship with food, managing stress, developing self-compassion, improving digestion, and boosting energy levels. While making these changes and breaking old habits takes time, the effort is well worth it.
