This exercise can be used after any period of eating. It is a good idea to use it, not only after eating foods you regret eating, but also after regular meals. This may help you to identify differences in how you feel after eating particular meals and recognise patterns in your eating.
There is no right or wrong answer to the questions, write whatever comes to you for each one. This journal is for your eyes only so be completely honest with yourself. Maybe your trigger is hunger, or if you are triggered to eat outside of your regular meal times, try to identify your reason. It may be boredom, stress, a habit, or anything else.
At the end of each set of questions is a space for notes. Use this to make a note of anything else you identified or if you identify a pattern after completing the exercise a number of time, make a note of it. There is also a notes section at the back of this journal.
